Oh, whoops, I am excited.
Tel Aviv means Hill of Spring, if you wanted to know.

BUT HAPPY (VERYVERYVERY) LATE BIRTHDAY! <3333
Ooh, Israel. 8] Excited? And I definitely agree with Anne, Tel Aviv is one of the best city names ever.

Totally agree ^^ But I'd really like to see Jerusalem, too. Plenty of nice monuments ^^
And a very happy (and very late) birthday from me too xDD

I'm afraid I'm not all that keen on going to Israel. I think it's a cool country, love its place names and wouldn't discourage anyone from going, but I've just never really had any desire to visit. '.'
On a slightly but not really related note, my mum had a friend at work who got cheap tickets to Bali a few months before Joccatta (sp?) was blown up. She was a bit worried about there being a bombing then, which everyone found hilarious since she was born and spent a good deal good her life living in Jordan xD

Well, I'm here in Jerusalem now. It's gorgeous. We were at a Japanese place last night and this kitten they must have been using as a mouser kept on jumping up on our table. Adventurous little one.
The old city is beautiful, and reminds bit of what Turkey must be like. In the markets, the stores are so close together that you can't see the sky and everything smells like spices and incense and bread.
My Hebrew is getting better! Slightly.

Aw, kitten I love kittens. However I probably wouldn't want one on my table while I was eating. Sounds lovely!
