Ice's comment on Australia Day reminded me of the pictures I took several months ago to show you guys. So, here's a few pictures to clarify that my school is resting on a steep hill, and therefore contains many a good staircase. Also, to put an image to the wonder that is outdoor schools. Really, all my schools are like this, outdoor lockers, classrooms in separate buildings, and the like. My mom reasons that it's probably because we don't really need it to be indoors, since we don't get "extreme" weather like snow, thunderstorms, and the like. So here are the stairs: Oh, wow I actually neglected a few flights, but you get the idea. And here's some hills shots: And here's a picture of the graduation setup we have for the seniors. It's set up in the parking lot at the top of the hill. I'm pretty sure that's not a general California thing, because there are actually schools here who graduate inside. oh and here's a nice little forest we have on campus.

Hahahahaha, that's so cute xD That's how most of our schools are built. Lots of open passageways and stairs (if they're needed. Most schools are single level). In fact, enclosed schools are a total novelty here. Mind you we usually have lots of nice lawn space and gardens everywhere so our graduations don't usually have to take place in the parking lot.

N'yeas, I can see how that would be a problem xD One of the private schools we visited in NZ was built like yours. It was insane going up and down all those stairs xD Here are my schools. The second pick best shows the openness it had, the other two are just the front lots (the last of which has now changed and been turned into the pretty Peace Park): img.photobucket.com/albums/v633/Anrion_of_Taltha/MoiSchools.jpgUsually our schools are divided into blocks and blocks are built around courtyards. My last HS was a bit different to my primary school and first HS in that they had a junior and senior campus and the buildings on each were scattered around one large area, rather then mushed together in blocks.

Your HS was damn pretty, Moo! It looks like a shopping mall inside.
California and Australia can probably get away with open grounds because we don't have to combat snow. Although I used to hate going to school in winter because usually they would just leave us out in the cold >_>

The inside is just very large and looks like a shopping mall It looks like a shopping mall inside. *amused* Yeah, the snow would be a problem. I hate walking around my college campus in winter. *Just remembered she took a couple photos of her college campus the other day.* I also wonder if it's cheaper to heat one large building than many small ones. You can't see the buildings well in these, but whatever.

Well, I guess I have to share my crappy little school. The front. The auditorium. Er... There aren't too many pictures of my school.

You should change that, Nut.
I agree on Monkey's HS, but I was gonna say it looked like an airport with its cute decorations. *drools on the college photos*

Oh, wow. Auditorium pic doesn't even work.
Electronics, including cameras, aren't allowed in school and I'm too concerned for my grades to risk detention for a bunch of creepos that want to see the inside of my school.

That was rude of them. And the building looks like it would smell of new carpet.

Holy craaaaaap. All your schools are huuuuuge. XD This is the only picture I have of the outside, and it's off the school's website. It's out main entrance, and there's really not much else to it. To the left is the gym, to the right is the middle school (the only part of the school with two levels) and in back, there are the high school classrooms. These are some from a photography project last year, none are super good views, but I guess they're views nonetheless. Up the middle school stairs. Down the stairs to get to the gym. Um, floor and a bubbler. And indoor lockers. These happen to be in one of the most convenient places to have a locker in the high school, in case you were wondering. And they're dark green. In case you were wondering that too. XD
