xDD It's true, Sofia. Stereotypical asian who took piano lessons for half her life, yup. I don't know if I have a favorite piece. I stopped lessons years ago, but some things I like playing are Turkish March, Hungarian Rhapsody (2 I think?), and the Merry Farmer. xD Errr, I suppose I like Fur Elise, it has some fun parts to play. Oh and there's this one piece I used to play that was fast and very cool-sounding. It started with an A. I'd go look right now but I'm supposed to be writing for a term paper.

Happy birthday Sorie! And yes I know I'm horribly late, sorry xP
An electric piano? It looks like a grand from the pic ^^ What grade are you? I learned it, too, although I'm out of practice xD

xD It's alright, I'm celebrating all week. So technically, you're on time. Yep it's electric, but the reason we got it because it puts on a pretty good front. But it's true, if you slide up the.... keyboard cover part thing, you'll see a power button as well as all sorts of fun buttons and controls you can use. It actually has a touch screen too, which is pretty neat now that I think about it considering we got it some ten years ago. I'm in the 11th grade, junior in high school, one year away from graduation.

Sorie, he means what piano grade are you xDDD You got to eight, right Nick? So sad you're out of practice Do you still have your piano/keyboard? Touch paaaaaaaads. My old elecric organ had its cord chewed by... something. I forget if it was rabbits or dogs (we kept it unplugged unless in use, so no harm to them) it did weird things. Oh, and my brother, sister and I all received an electric keyboard when I was little. The rubber pads on that melted into a horrible mess, yet I still think we have it hovering around somewhere. Oh a slightly related note. Grade 11? xDDD I have such a terrible time remembering the age of those who are younger then me. I still, in my mind, think of you as the ages when I met you; these perpetual thirteen year(ish) olds with an admirable grasp on the English language.

I know Anne, little 'ole me is growing up. *tear* I love that my grade level catches you off guard, but my numerical age had little impact.
And oh....... xDDD In that case, I don't know... ? *has no idea what 'piano grade' refers to*

I have no idea what your numerical age is. If it was mentioned on the board I did not notice it, as I kept intending to ask you what it was or otherwise look at your profile to see what year you put down xDD
Perhaps you don't have them there? Here you take lessons with a teacher to prepare for a piano exam, which you take at the end of the year. I believe my nanna took her theoretical exam at UWA. I cannot remember if she took a practical exam as well, although I'm fairly confident it exists.

We might still have them, but here, everybody (I'm exaggerating, obviously, I never took them) takes piano lessons as children just to learn to play piano. I never knew of anyone taking exams.

For fun, I will guess you're ages. Because, I really don't know how to enter the piano conversation. Please don't hurt me if I'm wrong, I can't remember ages. I can remember all of your birthdays, though, sooo shush =/
Jess: 18 Jen: ...17? Monkey: 18? Or have you turned 19? Lauren: errr... 16?
Oh man this is going really bad.
Sofia: 14 Nick: I have no idea, XD
Mel! Mel isss... psh. I'm bad at this. Tell me how old you all are D: Mel is 15! Maybe. Bloody Nora.
Did I miss anyone out...

Well obviously you learn to be able to play, but typically you take the exams to get credit for that learning.
Jo: Nick and Monkey are a year older then me. So if you can remember mine you can add one year to it and have theirs xD
Jo is TWENTY. My issue is remembering your dern birthday xDD
