So I finally switched to a much better computer that has been sitting around for a while and now I use a wireless keyboard and mouse. The mouse, however, keeps failing to work at random times. DX I replaced one of the batteries, which seemed to do the trick, but now it just stopped again. *shakes fist*

Gahhh. I really couldn't work with a wireless mouse. Not only do I think replacing batteries on something that could just work as well with a wire is a stupid, but... I like wires ;-;
Is there a way to plug in a wired one? Dx

Well, the computer I was using was apparently so modern it no longer used serial ports for the keyboard or mouse, and all we have at home are serial mice, not USB ones. DX However! I did go out to RadioShack and buy a new, wired USB mouse that has a glowy blue scroll wheel and a nice sort of rubberized side where your thumb goes. :3 It's quite spiffy, and I can go back to using the nice computer again. Wireless sets are really nice when the desk is rather full, though (as it is in my case). I'd love to have a totally wireless set up at some point, because it'd be so clean. ^_^ I hate wire tangles. XD

Not only do they taste weird, but they never work after you've charged them! GAH.

My wires are messy, but in an organized way. xD My friend has a wireless setup, and the keyboard is convenient so if I want to type something, she can just pick it up and put it on my lap, but the mouse is a complete spaz. And agreed with Ice on the battery tasting. I mean really, I know I stick many strange and unsanitary household items in my mouth, but I don't even want to touch the ends of batteries with my hands, let alone my saliva. :/

Really? Everyone I know has licked a battery. It feels all fuzzy on your tongue. Even my old science teacher did it. xD

I've always wanted to lick a battery. But I've always been real scared that I would die.
All my wires are hidden. Because we have a real spiffy desk made to have a computer, so it's got little hole in back for wires to go. And since it's against the wall, I never see the mess of wires. Which makes me real happy.
