I've noticed that a lot of us are keen readers but a few people (like Monkey and I) have slipped into a habit of forgoing reading anything substantial in favour of pottering around on websites hoping something will happen xD
So I had an idea of maybe trying to start up a kind of SPNS/Vagabondz Book Club thing? Meetings probably wouldn't happen often as many of us are busy with increased school loads but maybe once every couple of months we could all agree to read the same book and chat about it a little?

Yes... preferably a book I own and never got around to reading. xD

Yes! As you are already aware, I am in love with this idea. If only Mel were here, she would too no doubt. Anyway, I love to read ;-; Seriously love it more than... More than Cricket. (Doubly so if it's a book on Cricket!)
I like the idea that we might have little Skype sessions, that sounds fun ^_^ I am totally in favour of this idea. Just throw a few book titles at me and I'll see what I can do. I have a fair few here in my bedroom, some unread.

I brought it up briefly with Mel and she sort of got excited even before I got a chance to say I was thinking of starting one with our little band of misfits. xP Hehehe, all right. How about we each make two lists, one of books we have that have gone unread and another of books we want to read but don't have? Books we already have will take preference and we can vote on which ones we want to read and in what order

Oooh! *pokepokepokepoke* *hyperventilates* *always has her nose in a book* There might be a problem with the Skype part of it though, seeing as I have no headset and my computer is retarded (it doesn't have a built-in mic, at least not one that I can find).

Eh, we don't have to Skype it that was just a thought for if enough of us had/were able to get access to it. Forum or IM chats are just as possible Plus Skype has IM convos as well as phone calls; it may be possible for the people who don't have mics to listen to those with them talking and respond through IM...

I think Skype would be a lovely idea, if it actually liked me and let me add people. *cough*
I also think I like the book idea. I like reading right before I go to bed, because I always get this weird urge to do /one more thing/ before I sleep. (: I don't really possess books of my own that I haven't read, but I'm sure my mum has some somewhere. I'll have to look into it.

Sounds like a great idea; mucky exams have kept me from reading all the stuff I really want to sink myself into xD And a book club over Skype sounds great too

Yeah, Uni has left me with little or no time to read what I really. However, two of the books we have to read I have already read (one being my favourite book), so that's pretty lucky.
