I have two of those. One (Leoda) is like the one up there but is comepletely white including its eyes (no weird pink hue) and the other is Pitch Black. His name is Ezra. We actually think they're both girls now (for a very uncouth reason I wont mention) which is sad because we wanted Axolotl bebies.

Our brother got them from his crap friends who never fed them for one of my mother's birthdays. Somehow they grew fricking huge living off of whatever bugs fell into their too-small-for-them tank (without resorting to canibalism) and now they live in our front yard pond where we occasionally see their heads poking out of the gloom. You see most of them when they're noming their cubes of beef heart 83

OMG. Those are just so frickin' cute.
Remind me of Mudkipz. I feel ashamed to say that, but they have been imprinted upon my memory and they do.

That's probably what Mudkips are based on, Jo, so there's nothing to be ashamed of You're with fellow geeks here, there is no... *word I can't think of and can't be bothered trying* They're not actuall very interesting pets. Its fun to see them every now and again but they're actually quite fond of hiding under rocks. Now that I've had ben I find the thought of keeping them in an open tank somewhat deplorable '.'

Do they bite? Because, when I go to hug my kitty, she bites... And these just look so lovable. XD

Mostly they bolt xD I don't think you should handle them, though, since they ARE aquatic and according to my friend if you pat fish they tend to die. Dead axolotls aren't vury nice at all.

I think I want one. I bet they would make great friends with gold fish. I am totally going to plan out the interior of my castle right now.
Next to my instruments-I-can't-play-but-look-at room is the Fishies-and-other-stuff room. With dogs and everything.

They will die out in the wild if we don't stop the habitat destruction and pollution. ;-;

Now I have another question. How big are these buddies? Because I picture myself hugging one...but I also picture it being almost my size. And I doubt that they're 5 feet in length. XD
