We call soccer soccer, but that's because we already a game called football ontop of rugby.

I guess Fahrenheit is just more fun over here, because then we can be all "it got into triple digits this summer DD:" and get away with it. In Celsius, it'd only be like... 70s? Which doesn't sound nearly as cool. As for the whole football/soccer thing, I don't really care for either, or any sport that requires excessive running for that matter.

Sorie, if we went into the 70s of C we would all be dead xD
70ºC = 158ºF
I believe the highest Australia has gone in modernish histry was something like 46ºC (114.8ºF) and HEAPS of people died.

I like Celsius for the opposite reason. When it's in the 20s Fahrenheit it's way below zero Celsius, so it sounds much more awesome.

I like that our freezing point is at 0ºC. It seems silly that your freezing isn't a sub temperature but a whole number o.o

It seems silly that your freezing isn't a sub temperature but a whole number o.o Well, it is a whole number... just a postive one. ;D But I believe Fahrenheit is defined by the freezing/melting point of another substance besides water. Aha! Still somewhat arbitrary, though. XD

I skimmed over the first sentence but got bored. Your sciences and reason for said sciences are of no concern to me, for I am the uneducated masses and I shall, and will, hate things regardless of their purpose, the idea behind their design or any other "logical" mumbo-jumbo witchcraft formulas that may make your foreign ideas more sensible then what I believe is better.
Which it is.
