Mmhm, my bed is basically a bed attached to the wall a couple meters off the ground. xD I have selves underneath it, though, because if my desk was under I'd bang my head every time I got up.

Nick's room sounds lovely.
I think I'd be too paranoid to have a loft bed, although I'd have fun hanging various objects from it over my desk. xD

I used to have bunk beds with my sister when I was little. However, my loft is much too... slanty-wally for me to be able to get any type of bed this isn't normal and on the ground. xD
I put it down to my fathers rubbish DIY skills.

Loft beds are awesome. At my brother's uni, some of the dorms had this funky arrangement where the bed was like... on a floor top of the rest of the room and you had to climb some steps to get to it. It was also right next to the window so you got blasted by morning light/cold air if you chose to leave it open.

xD We put up a big fence/barrier sorta thing so that I'd have to squeeze myself in the three inches of space left between it and the ceiling to fall off. Otherwise I'm sure I'd be on the ground every morning.

Lauren, where do you sleep, with the ladder at your head? I don't have one, I'd be dead by now. XD It was my one o my friend's, she had a bunk bed. XD

I fell off that portion where the ladder is. I...missed the ladder. XD xD Only you, Lauren, would do that. This is entirely true. XD According to my brother, when I was younger and had the top bunk (with a railing) I managed to roll over it (it was about 6 inches high) and was going to fall to certain doom on top of a whole bunch of legos, but he caught me in time.
