I just recently joined many previous to myself in watching the very famous Anime series, The Full Metal Alchemist. Its a fascinating show, well-scripted and wonderfully drawn, but even after just 14 episodes, the show has managed to mentally scar me at least 2-3 times over xDD
I'm not easily fazed by things. I can watch Gladiator over an over without flinching once, and often - much to my brother's disturbance - laugh at the pain and misfortune of others during media that, frankly, aren't made to be funny. But there is something deeply twisted about Full Metal Alchemist that I just can't put my finger on.
I still love the show, and eagerly await my chance to see all episodes, but I can't for the life of me see how someone can rate it as 13+ xD Heck, 15+ is stretching the limit a little, considering all the death and human-monstrosities that occur just in the first few episodes.
No wonder they haven't aired it in Australia – no children’s show would touch it here xD

*revives* I only watched some middle episodes, but it never seemed that bad, unless there are deeper meanings I'm not seeing. My little brother did some sort of marathon and watched the whole series on youtube over the span of 2 or 3 days He was 13 at the time, I think, and I 15. Neither of us saw anything bad, although it was amusing to hear him call Lust or whatever her name is a "temptress"... It was either that or seductress. ("He was fighting that temptress")

Hahahahaha. I had the pleasure of seeing the backstory my first time seeing it. Oddly enough, I thought it was... cool? xD
