If there were films on at the cinema that you dearly wished to see in the cinema because we all know that the cinema offers the best view of films, would you go by yourself if there was no one to go with you?
I want to start doing this, because I'm sick of not having anyone to go with when there are amazing films on. Would this be really, really sad? Exceptionally really sad? More so than anything else? =/

I would go to the movies by myself. I might feel a little bit odd about it at first, but really, who cares? I'm watching a movie, and no one's going to care I don't have someone with me.

Once the lights are dimmed...*not going there*...nobody would notice if you were alone. So I really don't think it's too weird. I've actually seen a lot of people doing that the last few times I've been to the movies.

Put on sunglasses and an overcoat and pretend to be a spy meeting a contact.

I second Monkey's idea. But I'd also like to add a newspaper to your little getup.
If I could drive, I'd probably go to the movies alone all the time. There are some times where I want to see a movie none of my other friends want to see and it's all argghhh.

I've almost done that a few times, actually. I wanted to see Prince Caspian and Batman but couldn't find anyone to go with me. Transport ended up being my major factor in not going as I wanted to see them on the large screens, not the dinkie small one I can get to in town pretty easily.
But I think if you can get there, then you should go and enjoy the films. My sister does it all the time.
Why should you miss out? There is no actual shame in going by yourself and ultimately no one in the cinema will really be paying much attention to you. I actually really admire people who can go by themselves, because its really hard to get over the stigma that you have to go to the movies with someone. Which is stupid in the first place when it's considered rude to talk/interact while the movie is playing :/

Those are all very good points. It is settled, I am going to start going =] And since my Orange Wednesday 2 for 1 ticket thing will be redundant I can go on one of the days I'm only at Uni for 2-3 hours a pop x.x; Which is killing me.
*Goes to look up films to see*
