All is well, I got to see fireworks... illegal as they may be.
Very very illegal.

Next time, I would prefer setting them off farther from houses... and trees... and not on grass.
BUT IT WAS STILL AWESOME.

The fireworks were still going off when I went to bed. T_T In any case, our attempt to watch them failed. We kept driving around trying to find some and then by the time we got there, they were done. The worst part is, it sounded like they were going off right by our house but we couldn't see anything because of the trees.

Yeah, I'm fine. I had a surgery a week ago to remove a lemon-sized tumor from my abdomen area. I spent four days recovering at the hospital. The cancer seems to have been restricted to that mass though, so I don't need chemo, and won't have to worry about it coming back.
Everything's okey dokey now, other than learning to walk again. We take for granted how much energy that takes!

Well cakes wouldn't have been good pre-op anyway, because I was constantly on all kinds of weird diets and gross things. Cakes are better now. I almost posted a thread, but then I was like, no, I don't really want to bother them with my long, yammering story. xD It was also fun to see if anyone noticed the word hospital. Thank you Mel, for your late cake. *gobbles*

Aww thanks Anne. It really is a big deal, I know if it were anyone else I'd have a cow. I just don't make a big crying mess out of it is all. I can still roll it out if you'd like all the wonderfully scrumptious details. I think we're all old enough to handle it here. Maybe... >.>

Well I'm sure there is one thing we're all eager to know... Did you get to keep it in a jar and have you named it? *snort* Honestly I'm just glad you're all right and that it didn't spread beyond that mass.

While I was in the hospital I actually saw an episode on television where someone had a surgery and got their appendix in a jar. But no, I didn't get to see my tumor face to face. And I'm also really glad that I won't have to go through chemo. Yuck. They're doing some final tests to be absolutely sure, but it's pretty much confirmed.
