In the likeness of the Lolita fashion I was at a disney costume party tonight. I went as a Card Soldier from Alice in Wonderland

OH. Today's the fourth of July, right? xDD *completely forgot* ... which also explains the random people waving flags and marching down our street (seriously). I thought they were a day early. >>
Ooh, I like your dress. 8] And the red stockings. ... and the cake.

Only in America xD This was a belated birthday party.
I sewed it myself, they're socks, and the cake is a Doughnut cake with custard and cream in the middle <33 One of the best things I've ever tasted.

The apron looks fantastic.
The fourth is so toned down this year, it's pretty sad. No one has fireworks going tonight. *whines even though she never attends*

Most cities and states are in too much debt to afford pyrotechnics xD

As soon as you drive into Ohio, you'll see fireworks stores... for Ohioans... I'm sure.

Actually, looking at the laws, Michigan is more liberal about their fireworks than many other states. Some states even have sparkers banned... I have many boxes of them. xD

I meant states and countries banning fireworks sold to the public, that way they wouldn't have to foot bills for good shows. They're totally illegal here in the Aus unless operated by government officials.
Sparklers illegal? That's ridiculous xD They're fantastic and harmless.

I think NY banned sparklers. Go us! XD
We were thinking about checking out the Macy's fireworks display tonight, but parking and transport and all that is kind of bleah. :/
Anne is very Lolita-y indeed, although I will admit to being reminded of an old-fashioned nurse. >_>
