This actually doesn't belong in this board but I didn't want to post over Nut's birthday board so I'll move this to general after everyone has seen that xD
My mum went to a funeral today. Her old teen-years friend, David, who is a builder organising our kitchen, lost his father over the weekend. My mother wasn't particularly close to the diseased and hates funerals, but went anyway because she remembered how supportive Dave had been when her mum and brother died and she wanted to try and do the same for him.
Pinnaroo is a cemetery here. It's one of those all-lawn plaque-only cemetery and a great deal of bushland resides on the lot. And, as it turns out, so do a lot of kangaroos.

She took some photos. My mum has an odd tendency to take pictures at funerals. I don't know why she's compelled to do it, but she does. I don't think she took any of the actual funeral, but she got some great shots of this one Kangaroo mob hanging out on the graves that I thought I should share.
She said a few bounded off but most were happy to stick around for the picture. They scarpered when the funeral was taking place, then just came back once everyone was gone. I love they way they lie around like that, don't you? They look so relaxed and nonchalant.
In other news, RIP Sam She was put to sleep this afternoon. For those who don't know, or can't recognise the name, she's the koala who took a drink from that fireman during the Victoria Fires earlier this year.
