My mother and I will be getting a new kitchen over the next two weeks and stage one started today with the ripping out of the old kitchen. Our builder and my brother have taken up that job and they've been at it all morning. Since the noise hurts my brain and I'd rather be simming then watching the kitchen get ripped up, I didn't really emerge until about an hour ago. Me: Hi Josh (my brother) Josh: Hi! Me: *goes to get something* Josh: You want to see something awesome? That something awesome is a fully mummified rat where the bench met a ledge on the wall. Parts of it's tail and its feet are skeletal, half it's jaw/teeth is exposed and it has cobwebs in it's skull. It is, without a doubt, one of THE coolest things I have ever seen. My brother said there was a fully skeletal fossil-like one too, but a brick fell on it and destroyed it. Still, half-skeletal rat is a bonus all on its own Pictures will come later xD And before you say ew, it's a 23 year old house. I think just two rat corpses is pretty good considering. Edit: I've named him Franklin and have him in a shoe box until I can dip him in resin or something

That's more creepy to me than gross, but more or less exciting in the monotony of construction. Whenever I venture into not often seen parts of the house, all I find are lots of dust bunnies, cobwebs, assorted flies never eaten in cobwebs, and dirt. =/

Ooh. I think a mummified skeleton rat would be cool, but a dead rat would just be gross. (As in, one that was in the process of rotting. =/)

Oh yeah, a newly dead or decomposing rat would be totally gross. This is only cool because it's all dried out and, well, mummified xD It's also really stiff - my brother picked it up by it's tail (which I thought would have fallen apart or something) and it was all rigid xD

His face looks like he's going to eat my soul. I'm also wondering at his rear end being blown out...
