www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDhmdbVk0l4xD Finally the news' lack of real news has informed me of a youtube find worth watching. The video was made by two teachers (both of whom are extremely attractive and funny xD) as a satire on Perth's 'Dullsville' image xD It's not always that empty, and that is the Belltower, not Parliament house. My cousin is in charge of the Belltower as apart of his duties as manager of the concert hall.

Aww, poor Perth. I did know a Perthian on a forum who dubbed it... well, an inappropriate word, but one that certainly indicated the emptiness.

It's not a good city for people who say, enjoy the night life or are thrill seekers. It's a very slow, quiet city which makes it nice to live in but not to go wild in xD We're slowly getting stuff, though I'm annoyed that we wont see extended shopping hours this government either. 5pm is just ridiculous.

The bustling city life and everything being closed reminds me of Detroit.

Trust me, city life is way overrated xD I live in a city where the malls all close at 10pm and everyone works past 6 and parties past midnight. Believe me, life is a heck lot more hectic and stressful than it needs to be.

... Shopping closes at 5? Malls run 'til 8-10 here, usually.

We're the only ones in the country who close that early and who don't open on sundays, except in places deemed 'tourist' mechas, they can open on sundays but don't typically stay open much later. We have referendums about it every so often but they're always voted down. Referendums are ALWAYS voted down xD

Heh. The 'malls' (or the equivalent) here close pretty early, I think, but once those close you have the (illegal) night markets and stuff... unless the police have just come around in which case everyone disappears. xD

In my immediate neighborhood, pretty much everything closes at 9 or 10, but in Manhattan it really is all night. Well, not all parts of Manhattan, but many. My neighborhood is fairly suburban.
