Last summer my mother and I caught the broadcasting of the play, Leonard Bernstein's Candide. We didn't think much of it at the time but it turned out to be one of the funniest things we've ever seen.
Part of what made it so great was Kristin Chenoweth's performance, and this was her first solo after it was assumed she was dead after a whole invading army had their way with her... it was made funnier then the reality would be.
