The following facts are true: 1. Our outdoor track was remodeled this summer due to a three million dollar lawsuit some years back when the school was rebuilt. Before, it had potholes everywhere and five lanes mushed into four. It's nice now. 2. Our school is poor and can barely afford paper and books. 3. Our school was granted $12,000+ for a winter and a spring track team. 4. We have no indoor track for winter track to practice on, so they now practice in the halls.
I was mad that we can't get paper before a sport no one ever showed interest in playing. But not that mad. Then I was bowled over by a track runner on my way from the student council room to the cafeteria after school today. That made me real mad, especially about them practicing in the halls.
Is there any logic to this that I seem to be missing?

Sports are important. Actual education is more important. >

Tell them that running outside in freezing temperatures builds endurance. And hypothermia is good for the soul. But is it really absolutely impossible for them to run outside? *doesn't know how cold it gets, but...* =/ I mean, you get warm when you're running.

Because this is New England, and the weather changes forty times faster than a cheetah runs, it's okay for them to practice outside now, but maybe tomorrow it won't be. XD
I also must point out they want to add a swim team for next year. But we have no pool.
And I was completely disregarded when I brought up introducing lacrosse. WHICH WE HAVE FIELDS FOR AND COULD EASILY BUY GOALS FOR. -.-

I think they should start a gymnastics team next. They could practice on the desks, and use your textbooks for weights.
