One of the things on my booklist was a scalpel and I finally got to use it today to finish off a project. WHICH I PROMPTLY CUT MYSELF WITH.
I was expecting it to hurt like a paper cut, it certainly looked like one, but instead its just been numb. Like a sort of healed paper cut. I'm fascinated.
I'm going to have to hand it to my mum and then say: "Scalpel," all doctory like. It'll be awesome.
(Oh and I hate shabby sheek >: Hatehatehate)

Whut is Shabby Sheek? Scalpels are extra spiffing. I need to get one to use with my quilling, for no other reason than to have a scalpel. Saying it all doctor-y like is probably a reason, as well. I stabbed myself with the... er, the little tool you use in sewing when you want to unstitch your stitching. Went right into my finger, sticking out and I just sat and stared at it for ages. Bloody hurts. Good fun though, got a lot of buttons off a lot of clothes I just threw out. Your booklist is way better than mine. I have actual books on it.

I think it's the demented cousin of shabby chic. Which can also suck.

S'okay. I didn't even notice there was anything wrong with it until I read Jo's post. xDD My seam ripper is pink, so I don't mind when it stabs me.

>> Is it pink because of all the BLOOD that it's spilled? *generally thinks needles and sharp stabby pointy things are evil* The little 'jaws' staple-remover things? Adorable but vicious. Coincidentally, we watched one of those inspirational doctor-surgeon-movies yesterday. =D What else is on your booklist? xD I just Googled 'shabby chic' and it looks nothing like what I expected it to. I didn't expect 'shabby' to come out all pink and ruffled.
