I'm at the New Orleans Jazz Fest. It is pouring and was pouring yesterday as well. Still was pretty awesome. Today is Simon and Garfunkel yayyyy *rubs it in Jo's face* Anyways I am making no sense at all. If any of you happen to read this within the next few hours, feel free to suggest which acts I should go see. The schedule is here: 2010.nojazzfest.com/events/2010/04/24/If you read this later, still feel free to suggest stuff for tomorrow.

I LOVE SIMON AND GARFUNKEL.
They came to Perth in their last ever Australian tour. Months earlier I said "We should go to that!" and my mum sort of ignored me and then once they were here, there was no chance of a tour and the news was reporting about how cool it was, she said "we should have gone to that." xDD
HAVE FUN. *hugs moo*

It was awesome! I was standing in a huge mud puddle the whole time, haha. Most of the songs they did were off Bridge Over Troubled Water (which makes makes sense), although they also did other assorted songs and some stuff from Paul's solo career. Garfunkel's voice was TERRIBLE but supposedly he had a cold. Plus, they're old, it isn't about how good their voices are anymore. The audience sort of helped him out.
I'll post photos on Monday or Tuesday, whenever I get back home!

Uh, the only other big name we saw besides them was Lionel Richie, although I don't even like him much. Besides that, I saw Baaba Maal, George Clinton, Ledisi, Dr. John and the Lower 911, as well as a variety of jazz and brass bands, and a KLEZMER band, of all things.
