I kind of miss our SPNS days. I was just on the guild account (I'm not sure why... random hopping around ended up there, I guess) and I saw some of you were actually recently active on there! Anyway. Updates! What is everyone doing? I haven't been back here in ages.
Myself:
Spring break right now (ending this weekend). I was supposed to start a proper research paper with me being the lead author over a month ago. I haven't spoken to my research advisor since. In addition to writing that, I need to revamp my personal statement, write a lab report, and work on a coding project for another class. I was also supposed to start prepping for finals--at the very least putting study materials together. Also falling behind in my Arabic studies. And I should probably get letters of recommendations from my professors so I can get set with med school applications (they open in June--I want to have everything set before then).
So what am I doing instead of all those more productive things? Slobbing about on a recliner watching TV that I don't find particular enjoyment in (it sort of dies out after you do a full-series marathon... I have this thing where if I want to start watching a show, I have to go back to the pilot and go forward). I can't seem to find motivation for anything these days! D:
On a less whiny note, I made smoothies today! Not the best, but they weren't bad. I sort of just tossed together frozen + fresh berries, orange juice, and some honey. My brother refers to it as a jewel smoothie because the color is a deep reddish pink, like a gemstone, and it glistens.
(refresher: I'm in my third year of uni, aiming for med school).

Wow, you sound even busier and more stressed than I am. But I'm really glad to hear from you.
(Hey, I'm the same with TV! ... And with productivity.)
Me: I'm in the middle of finals, I had my Calc I and Spanish finals yesterday. I have a paper on Rousseau due Monday that I haven't started (actually, I haven't finished the reading) and an ethics final on Tuesday, then I'm done.
I'm a political science major (I'm thinking of doubling up and also studying economics) and I'm transferring to the University of Michigan in June.
We're getting a new cat tomorrow (we've lost two to old age in the last year). His name is Twist so I'm calling him Oliver.
I'm thinking of making a list of things I need to/ want to get done in my short break.

Good to hear from you Ice <3 I miss them too Wow, lots to do for you. What sort of medicine do you think you'll study? Me: I'm in my second year of uni. My major is Graphic Design and my minor is Photomedia, however I'm finding I don't enjoy digital processes nearly as much as the traditional ones right now so I may end up dropping GD. Trouble is, I don't know what to drop it for. So for now I'm doing the more enjoyable classes from my major (such as animation) and with any luck, I will snap out of my program-hating mood so I can get back on track. I've been playing old Ps2 games to pass the time

I'm not 100% sure of the field I'd like to do, but I was thinking OB/gyn (although my dad assumes I'm going for radiology... shhh). Monkey: you end early! How are your finals going thus far? I've got classes 'til the 13th of May and then it's finals week. Are you on spring break already or is it coming up? Yay kitty! <3 Can we get pics, or do they already exist on here? @anne: you got in, awesome! I remember when you were applying. I figure even if you don't enjoy the digital as much it's still a really important skillset to have now--not sure how much market there is for traditional work. I hope you snap out, too! Has your summer vacation already started? Also, I had pancakes for breakfast! Well, it was a second breakfast since I had cereal earlier but I was up a while before my brothers were. Always a tasty meal. Does anyone know how to turn off Facebook notifications for groups? For some reason I keep getting emails about comments on videos for a group that I'm an admin for... I turned off all email notifications on Facebook, though, AND clicked the unsubscribe link in the email.

I'm in Australia, remember? xD Our seasons are switched. I get one week for easter then will have mid-year break around late may to probably August. Our summer holidays are also our christmas holidays.
They're a more important skill set, but not one that I have the energy to learn and perfect this semester. I just haven't been in the mood to learn InDesign and Illustrator, and since my driving force tends to be to improve my art or do art, the fact that I'm more focused on traditional right now makes it hard to produce creative works for school. I'll just avoid those units until I can do them xD
Pancakes are tasty <3 Always worthwhile for a second breakfast xD
Erm, no Dx I HAVE done it though because my e-mail was filling up like mad xD

You end late! We started classes January 5th and had spring break in the middle of winter (February 27-March 6). This past Tuesday was the official end of classes. I'll have an A or A- in Spanish, I'm right on the cusp there. (I must have bombed the listening section on my final, I'm awful at that.)
No word on calculus yet, and there probably won't be any for awhile. He takes his time grading, so I'm just trying not to think about it too much. The final counts for 45% of my grade and I blanked entirely on one problem. I needed a 90% or 45/50, so I'm hoping I was right on everything else. >__>
I SHALL POST PHOTOS AS SOON AS HE GETS HERE. I just finished cleaning the cat carrier and junk. He should be here in an hour or so. :3
I had Trader Joe's crisped rice cereal. I think I'll have a pear now too.
Solution to all my Facebook problems: Don't get one.

Hokay, I had a look for you Ice. When you go into your group's page, there will be a button on the top right-hand side just under Account and Find friends. It says Edit Settings. It will bring up a little window and you just uncheck e-mail notifications.

^ BABY! Erm, hi. Nice and late. I'm finishing off my last year in high school. I have AP tests in about a week, and I don't care. Motivation is abundant in our group. Right now, I'm just trying to make up a load of assignments I missed in my AP Biology class. (the teacher is an angel, and will still give me full credit as long as I get them all in before the semester ends) I'll be officially attending University of California Santa Cruz in the fall (provided I don't drop into the 60s in my government class ._.) still majoring Marine Biology. I had spring break, when you did, I think. But I'm not really sure. It was a week long, and I spent it in northern California, enjoying weather that wasn't sunny or warm. I like to drop in to the guild every now and then and leave a substanceless post. I do miss the days when we lot talked much more. I had pancakes this morning for breakfast! They had blueberries in them.

Revival! Yay kittehs! We have a cat network on campus apparently, they made little homes for the random cats around campus. Speaking of Trader Joe's, my writing professor always has some cookies on her desk when we do conferences about our papers, and their butter almond thins are the BEST. Soooooo good. @anne: No luck. There's a little settings thing but that's just for viewing/comments, and the edit settings button on the left doesn't include email. Notifications have died down, though, so it's okay! Updates: I have two cans of whipped cream in my fridge. I don't know what to do with them.
