Even if you commute, college is pretty awesome. I wouldn't mind being on my own for med school, though... would be nice to be completely independent for a change!

I'm not in a single, I have a roommate and we share a bathroom. I just didn't post pictures of her side because it's boring. And our windows are almost floor to ceiling, but awesome nonetheless.

Wow, you're really high up! And that's a beautiful big window; lots of sunlight. Whenever I see college dorms, they always look really dingy and barely have windows.

The windows are my best friend during the morning to wake up. But sometimes I feel creepy because there's a lot of room that I can just...see into. It gets weird.

I kinda skipped the dorm part of college life since I was a commuter for two years, but I don't think I would have enjoyed it. In fact, I haven't enjoyed much of college. xD I just moved into an apartment (with my brother, unfortunately) this week, perhaps I'll post some photos once I actually take some. We're still working out the kinks and problems... like not having a dining table.

I'm kind of hoping more and more that I get my own place for med school, I reallly want to design and decorate from scratch!

First week of school was kind of exhausting, but classes seem cool! Classes were cancelled Monday because of Hurricane Irene (thankfully it wasn't bad at home--just no power for a day and no cell service for a few more), but I was on campus from 8:30am till 10pm for the past three days. I'm so glad this is a long weekend!

Thankfully I actually didn't have many classes, it just happened that my little brother was doing tryouts for the men's soccer club team so I had to stick around to take him back home. I have these weird gaps in my schedule, though! Wednesday I have a 9:35-11:35am and a 5:20-6:40pm, for example, and Thursday I have no classes between 11:10am and 6:50pm.

IIII have nothing to say xD It's not hugely common here to move out of home to go to college. Only if you're a rural-dweller normally, or if you're VERY fancy and go out of state to study. Which doesn't seem as common as over there xD Plus my uni is a 15 minute drive from my house. My campus did recently build a new student village, though! It's very pretty.

I'D BE SO OFFENDED IF PEOPLE ADDED ME ON FACEBOOK. My name is Lauren Blake.

I only have one small gap between my two classes on Monday/Wednesday, and it's just enough time to take a power nap to recover from my 8 am class.

The extra little circles are magnets. I need a proper command hook to hang it, but soon it will be hung and even more fascinating. It actually works too.

Most of my friends are within a 2 hour drive of our house. I just wanted way out. And most of my friends aren't really switching from our 'middle of nowhere' lifestyle to the big city, like I did.
