Too much nature makes my nose tingle unpleasantly. But I do really like the smells of outside after rain. And the smell of the air before rain.
Oddly enough I don't think there are pigeons at my campus. Mostly just native birds like Mudlarks, Butcher Birds, Magpies, Crows, Rainbow Lorikeets and very, very, very, very occasionally Kookaburras. Kookaburras prefer to hang out at UWA because UWA is right next to this huge reserve called King's Park.

Kookaburras! Love that name. Our campus wildlife includes geese (they enjoy stopping traffic to cross the road in a stately fashion... and then there's always the one left behind who had its head in the clouds and has to catch up right after the others all crossed), chipmunks and squirrels, bunnies, cats (there's a cat club on campus that makes them little houses), and the usual birds (robins, bluejays and cardinals in the spring, sparrows, etc.). I was just at another school for a med school interview and found it amusing that all these other schools have such nicer looking buildings. My school's a little over 50 years old so it doesn't have those stately looking halls, just lots of brown brick. We do have quads, though. I enjoyed crunching through the autumn leaves today. The landscaping people usually clean up campus pretty quickly but they left some around, yay! Also, Haagen-dazs dulce de leche ice cream is delicious. I enjoyed Monkey's dorky post.
