So you may have read (on which thread, who knows) that I sort of feel like we're over protecting kids these days. Then Ice mentioned something about a 9 year old on a NYC subway, and I do feel that's wrong because it's not the kid, he/she may be responsible enough, but there are too many creeps out there. So I'm reading the newspaper yesterday. And this is why I don't read the news, because I rant like this. A reporter takes his 3 year old son to see Kung Fu Panda. Kung Fu Panda, for those of you who live under rocks or perhaps aren't into American movies, is a PG-rated animation about a fat panda who learns kung ku. After the movie, the reporter's son gets up, and in the theater asiles, starts doing kung fu likes kicks and such, like any normal toddler. Except, the reporter has a theory now that this movie isn't suitable for children and should be rated higher, becasue we're exposing our children to bad influeneces.
So I have one thing to say about this. What the heck? 1. The parents shouldn't be taking a 3 year old to a PG movie. PG stands for parental guidance, which obviously was there, but personally, I believe G movies are in order until age 6 or so. 2. How the heck is an animated movie about a chubby endangered creature going to do in the box office if it's rated PG-13? It was rated PG because it was meant for kids and their families. And this reporter is dumb.
That is all for now.

That's rather dumb I'm pretty sure nearly all of those type of movies are safe for kids to watch.

Haha and I'll bet this reporter has coworkers who take their seven year olds to PG-13 movies so the problem is.... ?

*rolls eyes* G is for everyone, PG means if your kid is really young, you see it first before taking them. If you think that its unsuitable, don't take them. Simple.
