It's sweet and salty popcorn. Candy corn is striped halloween candy that I've never had. ^_^

XD Traditionally, yes.
The difference between kettle corn and regular popcorn (over here, anyway) is that kettle corn is sweet while regular is just plain and/or salty.

Yes, but candy corn is also sweet so you get the confusion xDD
Here candy corn/caramel corn is popcorn with a shell of caramel on it. Then there's buttered and salted popcorn which is considered normal pop corn, but we also have (though it isn't super common or available comcercially) popcorn with icing/confectioner's sugar sprinkled on it instead of salt.

We have what Anne has. You guys are just weird. It's all called popcorn, it just has 'normal', 'salty' 'sweet' in front of it o.0

Kettle corn is sweet. Regular popcorn is salty and buttery goodness. Caramel popcorn has the caramel coating. Candy corn is kernel shaped orange colored sugar given to little kids on Halloween.

Yes but how is it sweet? Because you could say caramel corn is sweet, which it is :/ Is it because of icing/confectioner's sugar?
*so glad we don't have the lolly candy corn* It tastes weird. Or maybe the lady who I bought it from just had crap candy. They did taste a bit stale.

Caramel corn is sweet because of the caramel...but kettle corn is sweet because...of magic. There's no icing or anything on it. o.0
Candy corn is nasty. DX

Candy corn is hardly bearable to begin with. When it's stale it's just terrible.
I think they dip the kernels in something before they pop it, so it looks like it's not dipped in anything, but you can still taste it. But I don't really know for sure.

*ahem* *prepares for lecture on kettlecorn* Kettlecorn is the awesomest form of popcorn ever. I don't know what kettlecorn you've been munching on (haha, munching ^^) but /my/ kettlecorn is sweet /and/ salty.
Sorry if this confuses you Jo, but kettlecorn is pretty much regular salty popcorn coated with a thin layer of sugar. Caramel corn is when it's covered in caramel. Without the salt. And yes, it is quite nasty.
